Therapist - Sessions offered in English, Spanish and Italian
For more than ten years, I have had the privilege of being an aid worker around the world, carrying out missions in emergency contexts and developing countries. Currently, I am based in Panama, though I am originally from Mexico.
Throughout these years, I have learnt that this kind of life is incredibly rewarding. However, I have also experienced first hand how constant exposure to significant stressors and regular relocations can take a toll on our own well-being.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's in Clinical Psychology, during which I completed a thesis on Mental Health and Resilience in Humanitarian Aid Workers. I also hold a CPT-I level Trauma Informed Clinical Professional Certification from the International Association of PsychoTraumatology.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to treat symptoms of burnout, depression, anxiety, among others. Also, I work with methods focused on addressing Trauma when needed, including strategies to regulate and manage intense emotions.
